Rodrigo Arellano, Mining Manager, and Juan Eduardo Coeymans, Business Development Manager, visited the Aguas de Antofagasta desalination plant, where an expansion of its drinking water production capacity is currently under construction. Once completed, the city of Antofagasta will be supplied 100% by this plant.
The plant, located in the northern sector of Antofagasta, currently produces 1.056 L/s. The expansion will contribute an additional 53% of drinking water, which will substantially support the sustainable development of the region.
During the day, with Marcos García, North Zone Manager, and Francisco Ramos, Project Manager of the contract, the executives were able to interact with the CyD team on-site and discuss with the client about the status and importance of the project, which will benefit more than 400.000 people.
