At CyD, we aim to make a positive impact on the communities where we provide our services.
The Inspection Fiscal Advisory (AIF by its acronym in Spanish) team from the Empedrado Irrigation Termination contract of the Public Works Management area organized an educational event at the María Olga Vera school, located near the Empedrado reservoir. During this event, the irrigation project was presented to the local residents, and discussions were held on the importance of water resource conservation.
During the activity, students and teachers learned about the irrigation system and the benefits it brings to local farmers. The project includes the improvement of the Carrizo Stream, increasing the maximum capacity of the Empedrado Reservoir to 2.7 million cubic meters, implementing a pressurized distribution network, and a feeder aqueduct to enhance water availability with contributions from nearby streams.
We congratulate the CyD team for this enriching activity and express our gratitude to the Hydraulic Works Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works for their trust in our company.
