Gustavo Estay, President of the Chilean Tunnels and Underground Spaces Committee and CyD Ingeniería Engineering and Transportation Manager, together with Project Manager, Christian Montes, recently participated in the 2023 World Tunnel Congress, held in Greece. The central topic of this congress was the positive impact of the development of underground infrastructure.
During the event, they had the opportunity to attend conferences given by experts, thus updating their knowledge and sharing experiences with professionals from other countries. An outstanding visit was made to line 4 of the Athens subway, which is currently under construction. There, they were able to learn about and evaluate the similarities that exist between this project and line 7 of Santiago ‘s subway, taking into account the techniques and machinery used in the excavation.
We are very happy with CyD’s participation in this outstanding conference. The presence of Gustavo and Christian in this relevant international meeting demonstrates CyD’s commitment to the progress of our society.
